Tofu, commonly called soy cheese, is made by curdling soy milk. Nowadays, tofu has become popular in america and europe.
Like all soy products, it is rich in proteins that are very easily assimilated and has a mild flavor.
The high quality of Tofu proteins is significant (20% with the eight essential amino acids) and comparable to animal-based protein, with a high rate of absorption in the body. The proteins in Tofu are complemented with cereal proteins, making the nutritional value of the two combined highly superior to the arithmetic sum of the two when consumed separately. Serving 65g of Tofu with a cup of brown rice gives you 32% more protein than consuming both foods separately.
