Spread a leaf of Nori seaweed out on the rolling mat. Spread a layer of rice, or rice mixed with diced vegetables, approximately two centimeters thick, along one edge of the Nori leaf. Roll the rice with the seaweed using the mat, like rolling a cigarette. Rolling the seaweed a few times around makes a long roll of rice with Nori, which is then cut into sections two or three centimeters thick, and can be served decoratively on a plate.
