Sesame and Nuts Bars

Ingredients (serves 2 ):

1 cup MIMASA’s organic sesame seeds. ½ cup toasted, peeled and crushed almonds or hazelnuts. 3 tablespoons MIMASA’s rice syrup. 2 tablespoons grated coconut (optional.) A pinch ground cinnamon.

Rinse and slightly toast MIMASA's organic sesame seeds in a pan without oil, moving constantly to avoid burning them. Heat MIMASA’s rice syrup (without water, this is very important) in a low, wide pan. Add in all ingredients quickly and combine them well until you get a compact mix, agglutinated due to hot MIMASA's rice syrup. Coat a glass dish with a few drops of oil. Pour the hot, sticky mix and press it well with a wooden spatula or wet hands. Let it chill completely. Cut pieces as big as desired and serve.
